David Powell and Flournoy Holmes were the two skilled artists that created the artwork for the legendary Eat a Peach album.  While the outside of the album was inspired by some 1920s postcards, the inside was pure, authentic 1970s psychedelia.  They hit the highwater mark with that drawing and you can read about its creation in HTN #75.

There is another piece of artwork, very similar in style, that David did for a Capricorn records ad back in 1970 for Billboard magazine.  This ad, though done after the album art was created, appeared in Billboard before Eat a Peach was released.

A few years ago David added color to a print of the ad with the same set of Dr. Martin's liquid watercolors that were used to tint the drawings for Eat a Peach.  As a result, we are now offering signed, archival inkjet prints on watercolor paper of this creation. These are not offset printed reproductions, each is printed individually and signed by the artist. These prints do not fade,  the Epson UltraChrome ink that was used has print permanence characteristics that provide lightfastness ratings of up to 108 years for color under gallery lighting conditions.

The prints are 12 x12"... album cover size.  See if you can find the 6 band members in the drawing!
