Legendary jazz drummer Roy Haynes blew everybody away at the Beacon with his guest appearance on “Afro Blue,” and at Jones Beach he did it again, propelling a swinging performance with his driving beats.  There were many other highlights at this show, including a smooth segue from “You Don’t Love Me” to The Band’s classic “The Weight” and a great version of “Hoochie Coochie Man” with an electrifying slide duel between Warren and Derek.  Add the first “Elizabeth Reed” at Jones Beach since 1998, and you have a show for the ages!
