A West's Best selection!

A thunderstorm that struck during the break between Phil & Friends and the ABB couldn’t dampen the spirits of the enthusiastic crowd at this stellar show. In fact, the rainy weather inspired a fantastic “Stormy Monday” that was one of the highlights of a performance filled with great moments.

“Les Bres in A Minor” was nothing less than magnificent - a big, powerful, beefy jam with intense solos all around.  “Whose Been Talking” had an extended intro that saw Derek and Warren trading licks and it surely is one of the best versions of this blues classic the ABB has performed.  “Dreams” featured solos by both Warren and Derek and soared into the stratosphere.  Sax master, Ron Holloway, joined the band for “The Weight” and “Black Hearted Woman” adding a horn solos to the ending jam that makes this version unlike any other.  Gregg was in fine voice all night, laying down strong vocals on everything from the rare opener “Can’t Lose What You Never Had “to the encore of “One Way Out.”

This show also featured an awe inspiring “Mountain Jam” that covers a lot of ground from the “Dazed and Confused” jam in the middle to one of Otiel’s best bass solos ever.  By the time this concert ends you will want to put the first disc back in and start all over!
