ABB fans love these intimate "An Evening with …" shows, and Kansas City got two gems at the Uptown, a great old theater that was the smallest venue the ABB played this year. Opening night kicks off with a scorching "Hot ’Lanta" and the best "Instrumental Illness" of the year. The second set has a great "Who’s Been Talking>You Don’t Love Me" combo and a killer "Les Brers" that features the debut of Derek Trucks on bass! The "Revival" encore is over eight minutes long and bursting with joyful noise. Good stuff for sure.
