The Allman Brothers Band Returns To The Stage!
Thanksgiving is traditionally a time to be grateful for all the blessings in our lives. This year, it will have a special meaning for Allman Brothers fans, as the band returns to the stage in Boston this November!

Since Gregg Allman had liver transplant surgery in June of this year, many of you have called the HTN offices asking about his health. While all reports so far have been positive, the announcement of these shows is the ultimate proof that he is feeling better and is ready to hit the stage once again!

Tickets go on sale Thursday through Ticketmaster, and with the lack of an ABB summer tour this year, expect them to go fast. Boston has always been one of the ABB's favorite places to play, going back to the days of Duane Allman, and the Orpheum is an intimate jewel of a venue. These shows will be something special!

Snow Ridge Jam Fest in Upstate New York!
There is no better way to finish off the summer than with some good music, and we have got just the place! The Snow Ridge Ski Resort in upstate New York has been hosting musical events for over a decade, and this year's Snow Ridge Jam Fest promises to be the best yet, with a perfect mix of roots music and the latest in progressive jams. Longtime HTN favorites Railroad Earth and Donna the Buffalo will be there, and these well-honed festival bands are worth the price of admission by themselves. You will never find more heartfelt songs than those performed by these bands, and with DTB being from upstate New York and RRE hailing from Jersey, their fans are sure to come out for this one. Railroad Earth is playing Friday, and Donna the Buffalo on Saturday.

The world music flavor of Rusted Root was a big hit at the Wanee Festival back in 2007, and they are one of those bands that when you see them live, you realize how many of their songs you know. Rusted Root plays on both Friday and Saturday, so you can get a double dose of their high energy music! Georgia's own Perpetual Groove and Particle offer a different style, with their techno-fusion sound sure to have people dancing late into the night. The Bridge and Moon Taxi aren't well known, at least not yet, but they blew our minds at Mountain Jam and Hoopee Jam, respectively, and there is plenty more where that came from! As always, make sure to check out some of the bands you don't know, festivals are a great way to discover new music.

Best of all, the whole festival is nestled in the foothills of the Adirondacks at beautiful Snow Ridge, a full-service ski resort similar in some ways to Hunter Mountain, the site of Mountain Jam. The folks at Snow Ridge have provided two free tickets for a HTN contest, so email [email protected] with "Snow Ridge Contest" in the subject line if you're interested and we will draw a winner from the entries. Good luck!

25 Artist Proofs of United Palace Poster Available!
The ABB have had a lot of great posters over the years, and recently it seems like most of them come from the one and only Jeff Wood of Drowning Creek Studios. The fantastic poster on black paper that Jeff did for the Allman Brothers run at the United Palace earlier this year was one of his finest works of art, and sold out almost immediately.

With no further ado, we are happy to announce that we have an additional 25 artist's proofs of this incredible poster! As with all of Jeff's posters, they look even more incredible in person, with rich detail and depth that no computer screen can capture. This one is sure to be a collector's item for years to come. Apologies in advance that we don't have more, and we fully expect these 25 proofs to sell out instantaneously. Everybody who wants one probably won't get one, so click here to order yours right now, and good luck!

Davin McCoy CD Sales To Benefit Red Dog!
Speaking of Red Dog, one of the performers at the benefit concert this weekend will be talented young singer-songwriter Davin McCoy. We are big fans of Davin, who combines insightful songwriting with soulful, passionate vocals, and we look forward to seeing him play in Macon! His mentors and supporters include such heavy hitters as Randall Bramblett, Davis Causey and Chuck Leavell, all of whom feel Davin is special.

Showing what a big-hearted brother he is, Davin has decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from his CD sales on hittinthenote.com to Red Dog from now through the end of August. If you want to support Red Dog, and check out a promising new artist on the rise at the same time, this is yet another way to help out. Click here to order So Good, So Cruel, and if you're going to Macon, make sure to get there early and catch Davin's set.
