Hittin' the Note was proud to sponsor the Soul Stew Revival, featuring Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, on New Year's Eve at the fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta - a tradition in the making that will hopefully continue for many years to come! From Scrapomatic's soulful set to the high-intensity blues-rock of the North Mississippi Allstars to the Soul Stew Revival set that brought in the New Year with a bang, it was a wonderful evening. Thanks so much for supporting these great musicians and celebrating the New Year at the legendary Fox Theatre!

In the wake of the NYE show, we're proud to announce some new Derek Trucks merchandise. These sharp-looking shirts (designed by Hittin' the Web's own Brett Underhill) and the commemorative Holiday Tour poster won't stay on the shelf for long as we have limited quantities, so get your order in now! Which active rock band has played over 4,000 shows with their original lineup? Which band does Warren Haynes love so much he had them play at his wedding? Which band featured Gregg Allman's last official guest appearance on a CD? The answer to all these questions is the one, the only, the New Orleans Radiators.

This road-hardened band of Crescent City troubadours has been spreading their unique brand of "Fish Head Music" since 1978, and they are about to celebrate their 30th anniversary later this month. As part of the festivities, they have re-released some of their most classic work, including such great albums as Heat Generation and Work Done On Premises. These titles have been out of print for years, but now you can buy them directly from the band by clicking here or by purchasing at music stores everywhere.

Many of you already are familiar with the Rads, as they consistently are one of our readers' favorite bands. However, if you haven't experienced their uniquely funky and soulful sound, now is the perfect time to get acquainted with a true treasure of American music. In fact, if you're within driving distance of New Orleans, you might want to check out their 30th anniversary celebration on January 25th and 26th at the New Orleans club Tipitina's. The Rads are one of the groups that helped build the legend of Tip's with their jam-packed, all-night shows, and they always have the "home field advantage" there, especially for these traditional anniversary throwdowns.

Speaking of the Radiators, we can't say enough about all the positive comments we've been getting on the new 2007 WaneeFest DVD. Tom Lederman and the rest of the JamCam crew did a great job, and if you haven't seen this yet, you're missing out on a rare treat. Besides three great tunes by the Allman Brothers Band, this DVD is worth having for wonderful performances by bands like Scrapomatic and Oteil and the Peacemakers, and of course some blistering jams from the Radiators. Click on the DVD cover image to order yours. What better way to get warmed up for the next Wanee festival?!

If you ever thought that enjoying (OK, some call it obsessing) over the Allman Brothers every waking hour just isn't enough, have no fear - Mountain Jammies are here! Now you can also spend your sleeping hours clothed in the finest ABB regalia. These cozy, groovy-looking pajamas feature a cool peach/mushroom/mountain motif and will surely give you some special "Dreams." Another charming addition to our product line is a new children's shirt that teaches the little ones that "A is for Allman Brothers." Start 'em young and raise 'em right! We've also got the story behind the new Jaimoe T by none other than Jaimoe himself! Click on any of the images to find out more!
