Hittin' the Note and the Allman Brothers Band would like to thank each of you for your order and your admirable patience regarding the delivery of the 2009 Beacon Theatre CDs. A number of things are going on behind the scenes that have caused this process to take longer than expected. First, each show is being carefully remixed and re-mastered. Given the huge historical significance of these 15 concerts, more time is being invested in creating the best possible sound. Second, these CDs are being replicated instead of duplicated - giving you the highest audio quality possible. Third, working with all 62 guests who appeared on these CDs has taken more time than initially estimated. Fourth, there are some additional band issues being addressed.
Because of all these mitigating circumstances, delivery of this once-in-a-lifetime package has been unavoidably delayed. As soon as the Allman Brothers Band tells us that all the issues have been resolved we will pass that on to you via another e-mail.
In the meantime, the Allman Brothers Band, Munck Mix and Hittin' the Note will be busy preparing the best-possible sound and packaging for this 40th anniversary collection. We have continued to refine the design of the actual Beacon Box and we are creating a CD booklet with pictures, liner notes and set list from each night.
