For years now, the world of poster art has been divided into two groups: Jeff Wood and everybody else.

Jeff's posters usually sell out quickly, with avid collectors impatiently waiting for each new release like kids on Christmas morning. He has won every major award in the business and been featured in books on the subject. Most recently Jeff did the ABB 40th Anniversary screen print for the Beacon shows (sold out), as well as the 40th Anniversary 3-D poster (still available), both of which have been big hits with the ABB community.

We are delighted to announce a new partnership between Jeff Wood and Hittin' the Note. From now on, HTN will be an official fulfillment house for many of Wood's concert posters, including the magnificent specimens you see pictured above.

Of course, that is just a small sample. Click here to check out our new Jeff Wood Poster Page, with lots of amazing poster art, including several posters from Jeff's personal stash that haven't been available to the public in years. Keep an eye out for several new posters from Jeff later in the year, and we look forward to working with him!

The Spring Festival Season is here, with three great ones in the next month, and we're getting excited! The Hoopee Jam advertises itself as "a grassroots festival by music lovers for music lovers" and that is why Hittin' the Note is proud to be associated with this fine gathering. 27 bands will be performing throughout the weekend, including HTN favorites Tommy Talton, Jimmy Hall and Randall Bramblett, who will share headlining duties on Saturday May 16th.

The Yonrico Scott Band and Tommy Crain & the Crosstown Allstars (featuring Tommy Crain, long-time guitarist and songwriter for the Charlie Daniels Band, and Jack Hall, co-founder/bassist for Wet Willie) will headline Friday evening, and Blueground Undergrass headlines Sunday afternoon. Many other national and regional acts are scheduled to perform throughout the weekend, including Diane Durrett Band, Deep Blue Sun, the Last Waltz Ensemble, Mama's Love, Joe Pitts Band, Highly Kind, Bonobos Convergence, Phantom Wingo, Turtle Folk, Soulhound, the Fly Brothers, Lingo, Chroma and many others.

Gates open at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 15. Weekend passes are available for $70 (including primitive camping). Camping is available at no additional charge Friday and Saturday nights, but there is no camping on Sunday night. Special festival room rates available at the Best Western Bradford Inn, 688 S Main Street, Swainsboro, GA 30401-4819, phone (478) 237-2400. Food, jewelry, art and other vendors will be onsite. For a full schedule, directions, to purchase passes, and for other information, please visit the website at www.hoopeejam.com. HTN will have a booth at the festival, so stop by and say hello!

Next on the schedule for springtime fun is the Mountain Jam Festival, which takes place May 29th-31st at beautiful Hunter Mountain in upstate New York. You may have seen the fantastic lineup, full of HTN favorites, but did you know that they are going to be running the ski lift this year, giving fans access to majestic mountaintop views?

How about the incredible lineup of late night shows? There aren't many festivals where you can see the mighty Karl Denson and his Tiny Universe jamming away until sunrise under the stars, which will happen Saturday night. Not to mention regional favorites like U-Melt and Buzz Universe, or Soulive's Eric Krasno with his new band, Chapter 2.

Even if it wasn't for the headliners, Mountain Jam would be worth attending just to see great acts like Railroad Earth, Tea Leaf Green, Porter, Batiste and Stoltz, the Lee Boys, and Umphrey's McGee. For many festivals, those would BE the headliners!

Of course, the headliners are pretty good, too. This year's festival features two headlining performances by Gov't Mule on Friday and Saturday, as always. This year will also feature the Mountain Jam debut of the Allman Brothers Band on Sunday, with the Derek Trucks Band making their Mountain Jam debut right before them. The mind reels just thinking about it!

So stop thinking about it and get your tickets here! We'll see you up on the mountain.

Last but certainly not least, Wanee Fest will take place June 4th-6th, and we are looking forward to this Allman family reunion! One of the things we love about working with the Allman Brothers Band is the way they take care of their fans. Well, here is another example of that, and a good reason to be on the HTN email list!

Starting Tuesday May 12 at 12:01am through Thursday May 14 at 11:59pm - ABB fans have the opportunity to buy tickets for Wanee Music Festival 2009 at the original Early Bird price of $138 (two-day festival ticket, plus fees) per ticket! Please keep in mind there are limited tickets available for this stimulus deal. The password is "peachcore" and you can use the below link to purchase:

Also, five lucky Stimulus deal purchasers chosen at random will receive the custom, silk-screen printed, limited-edition Wanee Festival 2009 poster! Many of our readers are poster aficionados, and this poster would be a great addition to your collection.

What are you waiting for? If you don't already have Wanee tickets, jump on the bandwagon and get 'em while they're hot! We will see you way down upon the Suwannee River.

15 shows, 100 songs, 62 different guests. This year's Beacon run was something for the ages, so it is no surprise that our supply of Beacon merchandise is rapidly dwindling.

These souvenirs of this legendary run won't be around much longer, so if you have been putting off getting that cool shirt you saw at the Beacon, don't delay! We are already out of some shirts, and sold out of some sizes in others, and since these shirts have the Beacon dates on them, they won't be reprinted for the Summer Tour.

Click here to check out our remaining stock of Beacon shirts, and in the immortal words of Janis Joplin, get it while you can!.

With all the Beacon madness and everything associated with it, we have some cool new products that may have slipped under your radar. In order to correct that, we wanted to highlight some recent additions to our merchandise line, in case you missed them.

Now that we have the Eat A Peach Truck throw in stock, we can say with confidence that no computer screen can do it justice! The rich colors and texture of this fine work of textile art are second to none, and the iconic "peach truck" graphic has never looked this good before! Click here to order yours, or here if you missed the throw with the inside cover art from Eat A Peach.

We're also happy to say that the 40th Anniversary pint glass set is back in stock! The new batch comes in four distinct colors: black, green, red and blue. Click here to order your set today, or click on the images below to order.

Join us at www.hittinthenote.com as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Allman Brothers Band all year long!
