A pumping, energetic "Jessica" opener took this show into the stratosphere, and it never came back down to Earth. Listen to Gregg Allman sing this version of "One Way Out" and there can be no doubt he can still bring it. Sensitive versions of "Desdemona" and "Melissa" also show Gregg in fine voice. "Egypt" realizes all of that song’s potential in a deeply psychedelic version, "Elizabeth Reed" develops a ferocious groove, and Derek’s solo on "Whipping Post" begins with an otherworldly dissonance that has to be heard to be believed. A feast for the ears!
