There are very few bands we have ever heard that can do justice to an Allman Brothers cover. The level of talent required to pull it off is usually just too much. We also get to listen to the real thing, so why waste time listening to a copy?
However, we also know a thing or two about how the Brothers music can inspire. After all, they are the reason we started our magazine. So, it's a pleasure to tell you that these guys in GCG have got the chops and actually do justice to the music of the ABB. And can you imagine just how inspiring it would be to play with one of your hero's?
Great Caesar's Ghost has just released a brand new live, two disc CD, that was recorded with Allman Brothers Band founding member, Butch Trucks in August of 2011. The CD contains eleven tracks of Allmans and Dead material plus some blues and one GCG original. Trust us, it's worth a listen!
