Davin McCoy is a genuine artist in every sense of the word. He is a wordsmith and musician with an insatiable appetite for insightful songwriting. He has a talent for telling the tale, commenting on the human condition from a different perspective, one that is fresh and intelligent and occasionally wicked. He has that quiet charisma about him that compels one to pay attention, to listen to what he has to say...and he needs to be heard.
What makes this sophomore effort rise above the ordinary is not only Davin’s maturing talents but also his partnering with producer and lead guitarist, Davis Causey, well known for his work with Sea Level and The Randall Bramblett Band. When Davis turned his friends Randall and legendary keyboardist, Chuck Leavell, onto the rough cuts – both musicians were inspired to join the effort in the studio. The final results are songs that smolder and spark, catch fire and burn with desire, need, lust and regret. Drummer Casey Crogen, blues harp player Brendan McMackin and bassist Tom Ryan round out this fine assembly of players.
